The 4 poles
The Foundation is evolving and being reborn around 4 poles, enabling it to detect and then guide, accompany in care, education, pedagogy and professionalization, young people with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders or visual impairments.
These 4 divisions are the Diagnosis and Orientation Division, the Medical, Educational and Vocational Division, the Adapted Education Division and the Training and Resources Division.
Diagnosis & Orientation Centre
The Diagnosis and Guidance Department makes early diagnoses and proposes appropriate guidance solutions for young people with intellectual, sensory, motor and autistic disabilities.

The early diagnosis center creates a framework conducive to medical and social care, early detection and referral of the youngest children, and helps and advises families in supporting their children.
The medical-educational and professional center
The medico-educational, pedagogical and professional division comprises several establishments designed to accommodate children with more or less severe intellectual disabilities, with or without associated disorders, and autism spectrum disorders, from an early age.
The first facility to open its doors will be TARII, for young people with intellectual disabilities. The medium- and long-term project calls for the opening of SAMBA, a facility for children with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders, followed by an ESAT for vocational training, and a SESSAD for home-based educational care.

Hope” in the Téké language
Formerly known as the Centre neuro psycho pédagogique (CNPP), the TARII Center is a facility for intellectually disabled children aged 4 to 16, with or without associated disorders. The center’s mission is to help young people achieve the greatest possible autonomy by offering them multidisciplinary support tailored to their needs.
It is a day school for up to 80 young people. The children, teenagers and young adults we welcome each receive personalized support (PAP). The project takes account of their difficulties and potential assets. The multi-disciplinary care provided by the Centre médico-éducatif, pédagogique et professionnel aims to help children and young people achieve their full potential in terms of cognitive, affective and psychomotor development, autonomy and socialization. Work periods enable us to put these approaches into practice during educational activities and paramedical sessions. Academic learning is also a priority, and takes place within a teaching unit staffed by a pedagogical advisor and two teachers. Wherever possible, they strive to provide appropriate teaching for young pupils. For the little ones, games based on pre-school learning are organized. The aim of this support is to enable each child to make the most of his or her abilities, progressively according to his or her development.

SAMBA center
The SAMBA center, for young people aged 6 to 16 with intellectual disabilities and autistic disorders, aims to facilitate their inclusion in school and society, as well as their autonomy, by offering them educational, pedagogical and medico-therapeutic support adapted to their needs.
There are three main objectives for the new facility.
1st objective: to reduce anxiety and the manifestations of pathology, such as rituals and acting out, by offering a structured, structuring framework.
2nd objective: develop cognitive skills, particularly in the areas of motor skills, language and understanding of the surrounding physical world.
3rd objective: to enable the child to gradually become aware of the social reality of the school and its environment.
All these objectives, whether they concern physical and emotional safety, or cognitive and social acquisition, are part of a climate that encourages relaxation, the pleasure of discovery, and sharing with others.
Etablissement ou service d’aide par le travail (work assistance establishment)
The ESAT is an assisted-labor establishment that enables young people to engage in production in a variety of fields with the help of educators.
Adapted teaching department
The Adapted Education division comprises, first and foremost, a school designed to welcome and educate visually impaired children from the earliest age, and services to help them integrate into professional and social life. Its aim is to develop projects focusing on the education, study and professionalization of young people with visual impairments or blindness.

The first facility to open its doors will be the WISI facility for visually impaired young people. The name WISI means “Light / Clarity” in the Punu language.

The CRHV (Centre de réadaptation des handicapés visuels) is now a WISI center, embodying the light and clarity necessary for visually impaired children to grow and learn in a reassuring and appropriate environment.
With a multi-disciplinary team, the school accompanies each pupil on an adapted and purposeful educational path.
WISI is an adapted educational establishment for the visually impaired. As its name suggests, its aim is to help visually impaired young people learn at school and develop their independence, with a view to inclusion. To this end, it is open to the outside world, and its curricula are those of Gabon’s national education system. It provides students with the technical means and learning conditions adapted to their personal needs (books and documents in Braille, large print, typing and office skills, work on personal independence, etc.).
The WISI staff strives to ensure the highest quality of teaching, care and attention for every child. The aim is to enable our young people to learn and develop despite their visual impairments. Although visual impairment exists to a greater or lesser degree, it does not prevent us from offering these young people adapted, individualized training so that they can learn and develop like their peers. This is the gamble we’re taking, in cooperation with families. What unites is more important than what differentiates. Together, let’s educate and teach our students to the best of our ability, so that when they leave our school, they can continue their lives in the best possible conditions.

ERIZA Center
Sharing” in the Myene language
In partnership with psychology laboratories, universities and university teaching hospitals, the ERIZA training center is a benchmark for the sub-region for the training of researchers and professionals, and a tool for training professionals in youth support, special education and adapted teaching.
