On Friday, October 18, 2024, at the New Horizons Foundation, we had a meeting with the Central Human Resources Department of the French Ministry of Education to discuss various aspects of a possible partnership.
The plan is to rapidly set up bilateral cooperation to harmonize approaches between the French Ministry of Education and the New Horizons Foundation. In this context, topics covered during the two (2) hour meeting included:
– Drawing up an agreement;
– The possibility of a competition in March, aimed at training “specialist” teachers in dealing with disabled children. The Ministry is therefore asking for our support in implementing this program;
– The inclusion of our learners through the identification of pilot establishments for the experimental framework;
– AVS training to support institutions ;
– The discriminatory factor of our young people due to age and scholarship criteria, when it comes to their integration into our establishments.
The directors of the two poles in turn reviewed the targeted needs and how current shortcomings could be remedied.
It was on this note that we ended our meeting, which we hope will be a fruitful collaboration between institutions sharing an incandescent flame for the inclusion of every person in our society.
