This Saturday, October 26, 2024, the New Horizons Foundation organized the first edition of the “𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬” seminar. The crucial theme of this first meeting was: 𝐋𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐞𝐭 𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐝’𝐮𝐧 𝐞𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐩 𝐚𝐮 𝐆𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐧.
On the program:
It was a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences with nearly seventy (70) professionals from various ministries, associations and establishments, to work together to find solutions to improve support for children with disabilities and their families. We are also grateful for the presence of the First Lady’s Cabinet, as well as our supervisory ministries, who made the trip. In addition, we were joined by a number of tradespeople from hospitals such as El Rapha, from PMIs such as Glass, and many other professionals interested in the topic in question. We also counted several heads of associations and organizations championing the cause of disabled children in Gabon.
During this solemn and instructive moment, the Director of the New Horizons Foundation, Ms. Stella IGNOUMBA, gave the opening address and set the tone for the event. Doctor BISSOUMA then gave a brilliant presentation on the condition of children with disabilities, explaining the heavy responsibility involved in diagnosing a child with a disability, and explaining the delay in the administrative start-up of our two establishments.
A total of (4) high-quality presentations were given in the meeting room of the Horizons Nouveaux Foundation board of directors, and the audience came away enriched.
